Speech Pathology can support NDIS participants whose communication or swallowing needs affect everyday activities, independence and participation. We develop therapy goals with each participant based on their individual needs. Goals may focus on communication, language, speech clarity, social communication, literacy, fluency, AAC or disability-related mealtime needs where appropriate.
Our speech pathologists work with participants and their support teams where appropriate. This may include families, carers and other professionals. Understanding Your NDIS Funding

Innerlink Therapy is a registered NDIS provider. Participants with NDIA-managed funding must use registered providers for their NDIA-managed supports. Participants with plan-managed or self-managed funding can usually choose either registered or unregistered providers, depending on the type of support and the requirements of their plan.

Assessment, Therapy and NDIS Reports
Our speech pathologists may provide assessment, therapy and reporting where these supports are appropriate to the participant’s disability-related needs and included within their NDIS plan.
Assessment and therapy focus on functional communication, participation and independence in everyday activities. When a report is required, our speech pathologists may describe the supports they provided, progress towards relevant goals, functional communication needs and evidence-based recommendations.
Reports can provide information to support NDIS plan reassessment or other planning processes, but recommendations do not guarantee that additional or ongoing funding will be approved. The NDIA makes funding decisions in accordance with current NDIS legislation and funding criteria.

Innerlink Therapy provides Speech Pathology from our Belmore clinic in Sydney. Services may also take place at school, in the community or via telehealth. We consider the participant’s needs, goals, NDIS plan and clinical suitability when deciding where therapy occurs.
Our Belmore location supports participants from Canterbury-Bankstown, Sydney’s Inner West and surrounding suburbs. Telehealth may also be suitable for some participants who prefer to access Speech Pathology from home or who live further from the clinic.

Depending on the participant’s needs and goals, this may include communicating choices and needs, participating in conversations, understanding information, using AAC, communicating at school or work, developing independence in everyday interactions, or supporting safe and effective mealtimes where appropriate.
Our speech pathologists individualise therapy and review progress over time. Our speech pathologists work with participants and, where appropriate, families, carers, educators and other supports to help strategies carry over into everyday environments.

Telehealth may be used for NDIS Speech Pathology where it is clinically appropriate for the participant, supports their goals and is consistent with the supports available in their NDIS plan.
