Occupational Therapy Support for NDIS Participants
Innerlink Therapy is a registered NDIS provider offering Occupational Therapy services from our Belmore clinic in Sydney. We support children, teenagers and adults with disability-related functional needs. Our therapy focuses on building or maintaining skills, independence and participation in everyday life.
Our Occupational Therapists may support self-care, daily living, sensory processing and emotional regulation. They may also support motor skills, executive functioning, school participation, community access and functional capacity.
How NDIS Occupational Therapy Can Support You
Occupational Therapy can support NDIS participants when disability-related functional needs affect everyday activities at home, school, work or in the community. Therapy may focus on building or maintaining independence with self-care, daily routines and mobility. It may also support organisation, sensory regulation, motor skills and community participation.
Our Occupational Therapists work with participants to identify practical goals and strategies that can improve everyday function. Where appropriate, this may also involve families, carers, educators and other members of the participant’s support team.

Depending on the participant’s disability-related needs, goals and the supports included in their NDIS plan, Occupational Therapy services may include:

- School participation and classroom-related functional support
- Community participation and independence
- Assistive technology assessment and recommendations where appropriate

NDIS funding is individual. Occupational Therapy is recognised as an NDIS therapy support. However, services must meet the NDIS funding criteria and relate to the participant’s disability-related functional needs and outcomes.
NDIS Plan Management and Registered Provider Support
Innerlink Therapy is a registered NDIS provider. Participants with NDIA-managed funding must use registered providers for supports managed by the NDIA. Participants with plan-managed or self-managed funding can generally choose registered or unregistered providers, depending on the support and their plan arrangements.
Our Client Care Team can explain our Occupational Therapy service process, fees and service agreements. Participants remain responsible for using supports in line with their NDIS plan, available funding and current NDIS requirements.
Assessment, Therapy and NDIS Reports
Our Occupational Therapists may provide assessment, therapy and reporting when these supports match the participant’s disability-related functional needs and NDIS plan.
Assessment and therapy focus on everyday function, independence and participation. This may include understanding how a person manages self-care, daily routines, school or work tasks, mobility, sensory needs, organisation and community participation.
Where a report is required, our Occupational Therapists may describe functional strengths and support needs. The report may also include assessment findings, progress towards relevant goals and evidence-based recommendations. Reports can provide information for NDIS planning or reassessment processes, but recommendations do not guarantee that funding will be approved or changed.
NDIS Occupational Therapy in Belmore, Sydney and via Telehealth
Services may also take place at school, in the community or via telehealth. We consider the participant’s needs, goals and clinical suitability when deciding how therapy is delivered.
Our Belmore location supports participants from Canterbury-Bankstown, Sydney’s Inner West and surrounding suburbs. Telehealth may also be suitable for some participants who prefer to access Occupational Therapy from home or who live further from the clinic.
Occupational Therapy Focused on Everyday Function and Independence
Our Occupational Therapy services focus on functional outcomes that matter in everyday life. Depending on the participant’s needs and goals, this may include improving or maintaining independence with personal care, daily routines, organisation, school or work participation, mobility, sensory regulation and community access.
Therapy is individualised and reviewed over time. Where appropriate, our Occupational Therapists work with families, carers, educators and other supports so strategies can be used consistently across everyday environments.
This approach is consistent with current NDIS guidance, which describes therapy supports as helping participants build or maintain skills and independence in everyday activities.
